Mobile Passport by Airside App Reviews

Id never heard of this until I saw it advertised at Billy Bishop Airport in downtown Toronto. Used it to go through Customs in Newark. We did have to try a bunch of times to get the QR code to scan but this was a minor inconvenience as I skipped a massive lineup and only had to go to one with only a handful of people at it. Will be even better for flights with no checked bags as you get through customs before your bag is off the plane!

Arrived in Miami.... Tried to submit.... Fail fail fail. Go get in line.

Easy to use !

Used it when flying to ATL, SFO and JFK and literally zipped through customs in seconds and without needing to fill the paper customs declaration forms when flying from abroad! Excellent App and service!

I usually dread the idea of clearing customs, especially JFK but.... Prior to our trip to Europe I got the App, and are we glad we did. 15 minutes from deboarding the plane we collected our luggage and were completed through the entire process. I looked back at the extremely long usual lines and were truly thankful..

Awesome App!! I zipped right through customs!!!

The app works fine. The directions on where to go if using the app were non-existent at the Miami airport. I was directed to a kiosk which negated the benefit of the app. I then had to wait in line. If the airports get on board and put up proper signage, then this would be a great thing.

There were no clear marking as to where to go. Ending up standing in line for the kiosks. Attendant realized that I had the app and took me to the front of the second line to speak with an immigration officer. So in that case I did save 30 minutes and could have saved even more time if I knew where I was going. The officer gave me an exit A pass for customs which after I claimed my check-in bag led me to a long line for a secondary check on my luggage wile nearly everyone else was waived through. I was behind 20 people with tons of luggage and boxes. As I travel very light and thought I would be saving time with the app, I asked to make sure I was in the right line. Sure enough I had to wait as everyone elses luggage and boxes were rummaged through. When it came to me, my suitcase was scanned and I was allowed to leave without my things being touched. I will give the app another try. But today was my longest experience retuning to the states - 1.5 hours just to leave the airport!

I just used the app returning from Europe today. The app is easy to use and made passport control easy. However, the promotion promised faster processing through customs and the app didnt help with that at all in Dallas (DFW) airport. The wait was just as long for everyone. The only difference was not having to use the paper forms. Nothing expedited about that at all. Disappointed by the process. Would have been better off using Global Entry.

At Newark airport: Firstly, in immigration, you have to wait on the "foreign officials" line. It takes longer for these individuals to go through so you lose some time. Secondly, there is no separate line in customs for those using this app, so any time gained in immigration, is lost in customs. Finally, there are signs everywhere "NO CELLPHONES". So you have to be willing to endure being yelled at multiple times, by multiple agents. For the aforementioned reasons I do not recommend this app. If they have a separate lane, after getting suitcases, in customs (like a "priority" lane or "pre-check" lane by security) then it might be worth using.

This is the only way to travel international. Its not at all airports, but I know that at the Miami airport we didnt wait in line at all. Of course, as this app becomes more popular, that may change. In fact, I shouldnt be posting this review - I should keep it a little known secret!!!!

The most efficient way through so far!

Just came in from London today and was through JFK customs in, no joke, less than 3 minutes! Best thing to happen to US customs!!

I signed up on the spot at customs and it was easy to do. Then went through the short lines at customs, saving me time and energy. I recommend this app.

Bypassed a ridiculously long line at JFK. Love this app!!!

This app is so easy to use it would be a shame to go through customs any other way!

Several international flights had landed at SFO at the same time creating very long slow moving lines for immigration an customs. No problem with this app - blew right through without waiting.

Just returned from Haiti. The mobile passport is not only super easy to use but it got us right through immigration. Literally, no waiting. Dont travel abroad without this app.

Answer four yes/no questions, press send, and move to the front of the long lines!

I was able to install and set it up as my plane landed and taxied, then pass everyone waiting in line.
