Mobile Passport by Airside App Reviews

Im not a frequent flyer by any measure, but decided to give it a try for the convenience potential. Mobile passport did not disappoint! I downloaded the app before leaving home and added my passport info. Then returning to FLL last night I filled out the "new trip" form in airplane mode and as soon as we touched down I turned off airplane and submitted. I got a receipt in about 5 secs. I was seated in row 6 but used the bathroom when I got off the plane. So when I got to passport control there was already over 100 people there, but no one in the mobile passport line! I went to the official scanned my receipt, showed him my passport, less than a minute! I was the second person at the baggage carousel! I had to wait about 10 mins for the carousel to even start, then lots of other bags came off before mine. And again there was a long line at customs. But again I went to the mobile passport line where there was no one! The official saw one other person from the other line then me! I felt like I was cheating to get such great service. Except for waiting on the bag carousel the entire process (of both checks) took under 5 mins. Unheard of (in my book) for an international arrival! Because of the unexpectedly short time I got outside before my ride had even left home. They were used to waiting an hour after landing to go to the airport! I look forward to the next trip, now that we know the drill... This is a must have app for me!

Was faster than global entry. Best of all it was completely free.

Super fast! No wait in ORD. Through customs in 10 minutes! I highly recommend this app even if you fly only a couple of times a year!

It was totally unbelievable. Zipped through customs and immigration in literally less than ten minutes. The longest part was waiting for the app to finish downloading.

DFW needs help. There should be a separate line for people using this app so we can exit quickly. Unfortunately still stuck for hours downstairs in long, long lines after luggage pick up with everyone else not using the app.

Worked faster than global entry and it is free. Great app. I highly recommend.

The rep guiding line flow at Jfk had no idea what we were talking about when we asked where to go for mobile checkin and made us go to the self check in kiosk. Since there was no line anyway it wasnt a big deal. But it printed a void receipt at the kiosk since we already checked in by mobile app. The custom official then pointed out where we would go next time saying it was brand new at jfk. When we travel in July now well be smarter

Just got back from abroad and when I got to JFK, the mobile passport lane was the shortest of all (including global express). I sailed through the process - both before and after baggage claim. This is a real time saver and a wonderful app.

Doesnt work. iPhone 5 @ Ft Lauderdale. Immigration and customs were 2:00 hours behind, system would not give a receipt. Down loaded and reinstalled it second time and after 60 attempts I can say dont depend on this app.

Total time saver. Just wish it made the second line at DFW as easy!

We returned yesterday to OHare from Cancun. I was excited to use this app as I had taken the time to create a login, scan my passports, etc. Yet, it didnt work, sadly. It just kept giving me a message that it couldnt communicate at this time. I know one of the stewardesses on the plane said hers was not working either. The kiosks are nice, but we could have skipped all that had the app worked. Im sure they will continue working out the kinks and it will make it smoother and more reliable. But for now, it didnt function when I needed it.

It took us less than 4 minutes to get through to border control and customs. I could kiss the deign team / developer in the mouth.

Great app, got through customs in <5 minutes at ORD, probably because there is a line just for the app people which had zero people in line

Tried the app after AA promo video but LAX is not an option.

Got through customs at JFK in about 5 minutes. Easy to use, even the customs agents were impressed.

I cant believe more people dont use this app. It has saved me hours, coming back to ORD multiple times! Love it!
